At the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, we celebrate Black Business Month every August, but our commitment to supporting #SheOwned Black-owned businesses go beyond just one month. It’s about year-round empowerment, recognizing the impact of Black entrepreneurs, and ensuring their success is celebrated 24/7/365.

The Power of Black-Owned Businesses

Did you know that there are more than 2.6 million Black-owned businesses in the U.S.? 

These businesses contribute over $150 billion to the U.S. economy annually. Despite facing systemic challenges, Black entrepreneurs continue to thrive, and their resilience is a testament to their ongoing spirit. 

Supporting these businesses isn’t just about economic growth; it’s about cultivating a space of diversity, innovation, and community development.

1. Promote and Shop at Black-Owned Businesses: Make it a habit to support and promote Black-owned businesses in your daily life. Share your favorites with friends and on social media to spread the word.
