About Us
Thelma Gibson founded Miami-Dade County’s first women’s chamber in 1984.
Mrs. Thelma Gibson started the chamber with the belief that business women of all races and nationalities should have a forum where they could gain momentum, express their thoughts, and come together as one voice – to be heard by all throughout the County. In 1984, the Chamber had 21 members. Today hundreds of women and men have become part of the Chamber, making it one of the the fastest growing women’s professional organization in Miami-Dade County.
